NORMANDY TOUR - OCTOBER 2024

THE LONGEST DAY

Discover Operation Overlord from a completely different perspective and set foot on the beaches which the Allied forces landed on in June 1944 to liberate Europe from tyranny. The tour will feature numerous and well known WWII sites, as well as lesser known sites off the beaten path.

 Guests travel independently to London where we pick you up and travel to Folkestone for the Eurotunnel crossing to Calais and proceed to our hotel in Crépon, Normandy.

 The first day in Normandy will focus on the Utah Beach area in the morning followed by several 101st Airborne sites in the afternoon. Lunch will be held at Sainte-Mère-Église on everyone´s own.

Focussing on Carentan, we will visit several sites where the 82nd and the 101st Airborne Division fought for the liberation of Europe. Lunch will be in Carentan on everyone´s own.

Learn more about Operation Overlord while we take an extensive look at the Omaha Beach area for this day and see the flag lowering at Normandy American Cemetery in the late afternoon.

 Bringing our tour into the British sector of D-Day, we will visit Longues-sur-Mer Battery, the Arromanches Mulberry Harbor and many more. Lunch will be in Bayeux on everyone´s own.

Pegasus Bridge  and Ranville War Cemetery are scheduled for the morning, followed by a look into the Sword, Juno and Gold Beach area. Lunch will be in Ouistreham on everyone´s own.

  We leave our hotel in Normandy and head to Calais for our return Eurotunnel crossing to the UK and individual flights back home from London Heathrow. A drop off at Victoria Station is possible.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Oct 5, 2024 is the first day of the tour. When booking your individual flights to London Heathrow please make sure that you will arrive before the first day of the tour and to be prepared with suitable footwear and outdoor clothes as the entire tour includes a fair amount of walking on different soils. 


Pick up will be at London Heathrow for those arriving on the day before the tour. An additional pick up at London Victoria Station is available for our guests staying in London earlier.


Please ensure you are fully covered by your travel insurance policy. Many complimentary travel insurance policies will have exceptions and you should ensure the cover is suitable for your personal needs.


We do not offer travel insurance.
